About
YASAMAN FARMANARA
Born in Tehran and based in Los Angeles, Yasaman Farmanara has drawn and painted since childhood. She later studied fashion design and spent many years working in textiles and fashion before returning to her art practice full time.
Her work moves between painting, drawing, and sculpture and is centered on the human figure. Her practice is shaped by memory, personal experience, and the cultural contrasts that shaped her life.
Her work explores the space between what is visible and what remains internal, allowing emotion, ambiguity, and contradiction to emerge without resolving them into a single narrative.
